    • Example - Room Readiness (Housekeeping + Front Desk): This queue could handle tasks related to ensuring a room is guest-ready, where housekeeping manages cleaning and front desk confirms room availability.
  2. Task Assignment: Assigning tasks to specific staff members based on their role or department. You will also see a section that is filtered for all tasks that you are responsible for. 
  3. Automation task: Schedule and set up recurring tasks such as room cleanings, maintenance requests, housekeeping requests, or check-in reminders.
  4. Task tracking: Monitoring task completion statuses by setting up stages and tracking the progress. Ensure that your team stays on top of their duties. 
  5. Prioritization: Prioritizing tasks, such as how urgent they need to be completed and addressed in a timely manner. 
  6. Creating a task via mobile: Visiting rooms and juggling a million things? No need to wait until you’re back at your desk. You can easily create tasks on the go right from your phone. 

How to set up a task in Akia

  1. Click the + next to Tasks in the header
  2. Within the Task screen, fill in the required information such as selecting the queue, what the task is about, who it is assigned to, status, what room is it for, and when it needs to be completed.
  3. Click OK to create the task, and visit the task page to see it’s on the top of your list.
